History Fun!

Well, it's been forever since I've blogged -my camera is broken. I borrowed Meg's for today's history project. We read about New Zealand and the Maori people. Their warriors used to paint their faces, so of course we had to become Maori Warriors today. A fun project for a cold and wet day!

More Christmas pics!

Christmas in Texas!

Matt and the kids gave me the best Christmas gift. These pictures spell "Mommy." They matted and framed it in a horizontal frame and it is wonderful! Matt hung it in the living room, and I can see it from my glider that I have my quiet time in. I love it!!

Campfire!

We had a campfire in the backyard tonight! The kids filled in the beloved "digging pit" and since it was such a huge pile of dirt, it made a perfect place to have a campfire site. Matt prepared the fire ring this afternoon, and after dinner the fun began! We even had smores. It turned out just right. Not too windy - which is a big concern in Texas.

A Visit With Mema and Pepa

Mema and Pepa came to Texas for an early Thanksgiving! We had a fun, but short visit.

I'm sure if I had any sense, I could rotate these, but I'm just glad to get them on here! Matt and I had a much needed date one night - thank you Mema and Pepa.

We girls got to go see High School Musical 3 and had a ball! I think Mema's foot was tappin' through the whole thing! :) (so were mine and Meg's)

Gabe & Noah - part 2

Our friend Gabe had eye surgery a couple of weeks ago, and we got to go see him that night. You can tell that his face is swollen and his eyes are bloodshot, but he was in a great mood (just for us). He has had the surgery before, but his eyes look so straight and that was the goal. What a little trooper.

He had "no-no's" on to help him not touch his eyes. Not an easy task for someone who is almost 5 and has just come through surgery. His mom, Laura, said this time was so much better than when he was 2. He understood that he should not touch them this time, but he still needed a little help. (So would I...)
A few days after surgery, Gabe was up and running. Noah and I went with the Foley's to a pumpkin patch and had a ball!
